Every creation made in our Atelier begins with precious materials and meticulous craftsmanship. With a few simple precautions, you can preserve its beauty, brilliance and integrity for longer, allowing its most beautiful marks to be those of your own story.

Four essential gestures
Keep it away from water
Remove your jewellery before showering, bathing, swimming or going into the sea: chlorine, salt and detergents may alter its appearance.
A place of its own
Store each piece separately in its case or in a soft pouch, keeping it dry and protected.
Protect it from knocks
Remove your jewellery during sports, manual work, cleaning and any activity in which it could be scratched or deformed.

Every metal and gemstone has its own characteristics. Open each section to discover the care best suited to your jewellery.

Gold
Gold is durable and particularly well suited to jewellery, but it is not indestructible. With daily wear, it may develop small scratches and lose some of its original polish. This is a normal process of wear and does not compromise its quality.
For gentle cleaning, use lukewarm water, a small amount of mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive products, stiff brushes and harsh detergents.

Silver
Silver may naturally tarnish when exposed to air, moisture, perfumes or cosmetics. This is entirely normal and does not indicate a defect in the material.
You can restore its surface using a special polishing cloth for precious metals, applied gently. Keeping it dry and protected helps slow down oxidation.

Diamonds and gemstones
Creams, soaps and cosmetics can settle on gemstones and temporarily reduce their brilliance. For suitable gems, use lukewarm water, mild soap and a very soft brush, taking care around the setting.
Not all gemstones can be treated in the same way. Opals, emeralds, turquoise and many other gems require specific care.
If in doubt, contact us before using detergents, ultrasonic devices or other cleaning systems.

Pearls
Pearls are particularly delicate natural materials. Put them on as the final touch before going out and remove them first when you return, protecting them from perfume, creams and chemicals.
After wearing them, gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Store them separately from other jewellery and have the thread and knots of pearl necklaces checked periodically.

Rings and wedding bands
Rings are the pieces of jewellery most exposed to daily wear. Small scratches and variations in the finish are normal, especially on wedding bands worn every day.
Remove them during manual work, sports and activities that could expose them to pressure or impact. For rings with gemstones, it is advisable to have the prongs and settings checked periodically.

Regular care
Even the most durable piece of jewellery benefits from a professional inspection. In our Atelier, we examine the condition of the piece, its settings and gemstones, and provide cleaning, polishing, rhodium plating, resizing, restringing, repair and restoration services.
Regular maintenance often makes it possible to identify small signs of wear in good time and avoid more significant work in the future.
