Precious metals

Value beyond matter

Gold and other precious metals are the foundation of our work. Choosing them carefully means considering not only their characteristics and quality, but also their origin and the journey that brought them to our atelier.

For our creations, we use Oekogold certified recycled precious metals as our standard. Upon request, we also craft jewelry in Fairmined and Fairtrade gold, sourced from supply chains that adhere to specific social and environmental criteria and prioritize a greater focus on the metal's origin.

These are two different approaches: on one hand, the recovery and recycling of existing precious metals, and on the other, newly mined gold from mining operations that follow defined standards. Two distinct paths that allow us to offer more conscious alternatives when choosing the materials we use to create our jewelry.

Certified recycled gold

Oekogold

For our creations, we use recycled precious metals distinguished by the Oekogold hallmark as our standard.

Gold, silver, platinum, and palladium are sourced from the recovery and refining of existing precious metals, which are reintroduced into the production cycle while maintaining the same characteristics and quality as newly mined metals.

A choice that allows us to make the most of already available resources and limit the reliance on newly extracted material.

Responsibly sourced artisanal gold

Fairmined

In addition to Oekogold, we offer the possibility to create jewelry in Fairmined certified gold upon request.

Fairmined gold comes from artisanal and small-scale mining organizations that operate according to a standard that includes social, environmental, and traceability criteria.

Furthermore, through the Fairmined Premium, the purchase of this gold directly contributes to the development of the mining organizations and the communities involved.

Responsibly mined artisanal gold

Commercio equo e solidale

As a company authorized to purchase Fairtrade precious metals, we can create jewelry upon request using gold from certified artisanal and small-scale mining organizations.

Fairtrade standards include requirements related to working conditions, safety, and more responsible environmental management. In addition to the price of the gold, mining organizations receive an additional Fairtrade Premium, which can be invested according to the priorities identified by the miners themselves and their communities.

Materials, origins, choices

A conscious choice

There is no single path for a precious metal. Recovering and repurposing existing materials or choosing newly mined gold from certified supply chains are different approaches, each with its own characteristics.

For us, what matters is being able to know as much as possible about the origin of the materials we use and choosing, case by case, solutions consistent with the piece of jewelry to be created and the preferences of the person who will wear it.

The value of a precious metal lies not only in the material itself, but also in the story we can tell about its provenance.
